After pondering the course of the current Prez election and looking at Amendment 12, here's what I'm hoping for, just for the sake of amusement:

-- Obie wins the "popular" vote by a razor-thin margin.

-- Mac wins a majority of states and a plurality of the Electoral College, but not a majority.

-- Numerous legal challenges ensue involving all the reports of voter suppression and voter fraud -- in regard to House and Senate seats as well as the Presidency.

-- The H of R wrangles and squabbles about its own membership as well as the choice of Prez and VP, and is unable to complete its task by the mandated March 4 deadline.

-- Dick Cheney becomes POTUS.

-- In the rubble of the burned-down Capital building, Congress convenes to choose between Biden and Palin to serve as Cheney's VP.
