Constant Comfort

Despite the crazy nature of this life and this world I find constant comfort from God/Jesus and their word to us. I get a bit mixed up from time to time but God's word always comes back to me and keeps me focused on Him. Here is one such tid bit that keep me focused on Jesus my savior:

But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.

Psalm 73. God's grace sustains me through the troubles of life. No platitude. I am convinced that troubles allow me to appreciate that grace. And in the good times, I need to be reminded what truly matters.

It's amazing, actually, how reading the Bible is actually soothing, and the way the Holy Spirit uses it to drain away any fear or worry. S'why the idea that the Bible is anything other than God-breathed is absurd

Great thread.

Lately it is this ...

JAS 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

It is telling me that whatever is happening to me is a trial and in the end they will be useful, since God will make them useful.

RO 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,whohave been called according to his purpose.
