Conservative faith practices

I know we call come from different Christian faith practices..........I would like us to share what some of us do when going to Church/Mass that is a "practice of your faith, or that makes you/brings you closer to God.......

For me...........I LOVE kneelers.........I love to be able to kneel and pray, before , during, and after Mass

Please share so that we can learn more about each other!!!!!

I like the kneeling also, but only at the Catholic church I visit and the mennonite church I was part of did it~the eFree nor either of the baptist churches I attend(ed) did it.

At the mennonite church we would turn an kneel over the pew seat.

How come baptists don't kneel? I don't really know~guess there is the "altar" up front 'bout the only place I see it happenin' (and then not much).

Another that is near and dear to my heart is singing the Psalms.....or rather we have a Cantor, and the congregation sings back the response.

I am spirit filled and pentecostal/charasmatic so when I feel the moving and prompting of the spirit we have an alter and I just lay down on my face as I pray. Praise and worship is one of my favorite times, praising and worshipping God

When we moved back to Pa my health wasn't the best so I went to church via Sky Angel..My wife felt lead to return to her childhood church..There was a new pastor and God was really moving..People were coming back and you could tangibly feel the presence of the Lord...The people are leaning to reach out and care for each other..When the pastor heard of my health and not being able to sit in a pew he went and had a recliner brought in..He then put a bench back beside it for my wife and guests..We got a ways to go to mature but it's off to a good start..shalom..Kim

We have what we call a family altar time where we can go up for prayer/ministry time..That is when most either kneel or stand..During worship you may go up front to kneel or prostrate yourself before the altar..

I'm in a small house church. What I love is when we annoint and pray over someone who's hurting physically or spiritually. I've received that prayer and it kept me going without breathing difficulties for 2 weeks. These guys are sooooo awesome!

I loved kneeling when I was with the Episcopal church. Then I attended a Methodist church for a bit. They had a lovely dark green velvet cushion at the rail and you could spend time up there in prayer. I went up and knelt down, expecting a padded kneeler - but it was soft foam rubber and I unexpectedly windmilled all the way to the floor! LOL!

Yes Bro, he is pretty cool..He really has a pastor's heart..Some of the old timers aren't used to his outgoingness , personal caring and comedian style..But he is truly caring and loving..Chambersburg hugh..Been there once or twice..In Christ..Kim
