  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The engineering that has gone into the heavy falcon program is incredible. I was awed to watch them successfully launch a satellite into space and recover all three main rockets successfully. That was really impressive. Congrats to the whole SpaceX team.

I'm really excited to see private enterprises get themselves into space. I think that this will result in another "space race" by private enterprises around the world. The technology will improve rapidly, and the cost to get things into space will drop rapidly as a result.

Very nicely done.

Awesome, especially seeing the real-time video feeds from the three boosters returning! I remember when this kind of technology was science-fiction (couldn't help noticing the gentle curve of the Earth too ;)).

Made a great positive after the disappointment of the Israeli Beresheet lunar lander.

True. SpaceX was successful in delivering both missions to their desired locations. It's a pity that the lunar lander didn't perform as expected. That was indeed a disappointing ending to an otherwise pretty smooth mission.

It's impressive to me that SpaceX is already finding diverse and different commercial customers for it's rockets and already successfully delivering their hardware to their destination. That's no small accomplishment. The real time feeds were indeed awesome. Sticking the landings on all three rockets was a joy to behold.

I hope I live long enough to see them stick a landing on Mars too. :)
