Son Worshipper,
Thank you soo much. You are already starting to help. No, my father never really taught me anything from his bible. See, my parents are divorced, and I live with my father, but him and my mother are totally opposite when it comes to religion. And I have a step mother too. She's catholic, so I'm pretty much in the same position. When my parents got married she was a christain at the time also. But it was a big argument throughout both sides of my family because my fathers side had wanted a huge jewish wedding, just like everyone else had had, but my mom won because she just wasn't in to that. Well before when I lived with my mother, we attended Valley Bible church. It was a great church, but somthing just didn't feel right. Though we did have communion once a month. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what my father thinks about church. I have no idea if he has ever gone to one, but since I can remember, he hasn't. I do know he went to temple and stuff like that when he was little, he went to school and learned hebrew. But that's basically all I know. If you have any more questions, please ask because I really need your help lol. Thank you ssoooo much sonworshipper for helping me.

Hi Ali!
Thanks for responding so openly and honestly!

You have a beautiful spirit! I am sorry for asking so many questions, but simple answers aren't easy without full understanding of a situation. I had a feeling last night that your parents were separated or divorced, something just seemed off. Have you been the one to decide where you are living? How long have your parents been apart?
I am so happy to see that you are searching and looking for answers, because I know this is the Holy Spirit in you urging you to find your roots. I wish I could give you a big

right now, as the Spirit in me can see this in your words!
I don't want you to get more confused, but reading the word of the L-rd is always good. There is Torah, the first five books of the Bible and each week it is divided into portions, or Parsha. In this division you can read the whole of Torah in a year, and this is what Jews all over the world do. It is mostly in synagogue but you can do this on your own also.
I have a "Complete Jewish bible" which contains the "Old Testament" as well as the new and the Torah is divided up into the Parshas, with also a Haftarah portion ( from the Prophets ) and also corresponding scriptures from the New Testament, or "
Brit Chadasha". I have been thinking of starting a weekly post thread in this forum so others that don't have access to it will know what to read. This will help you to study and learn, and any questions you have on that week's portion can be discussed in that thread. How's that sound?
My dear little sister in the L-rd, I love you and am so happy that you have been lead here by the L-rd for that is what happened even though you may not realize it, and I feel very blessed to have been found worthy by Him to help you.
