confused

I have come to part on my path that I am totally stuck in. I have received so many answers. Yet the answers that I recieved made me more confused. It seems everyone has an answer. My life has been tragically (well to me it's tragic) turned upside down, and I can't figure out what to do. I don't want to hurt anyone, and I don't want to be hurt. I am open for discussion. Thanks

Divorce and adultry....please do not take this the wrong way, they married after three months, that was five years ago...they never lived together, they live in different countries, no children, no assets, they were married one week before legally separating, it's a long story....what my question is, is it adultry to be around him or be friends with him.

That's an odd story.
Odd stories are usually the stories you need to turn around and walk away from because you don't want to become an odd story some other girl hears about before she then becomes an odd story.
This doesn't sound healthy to me. I have a feeling that no one needs to tell you that. From the little you wrote, I think you know that, but you're looking for a way around it.

I would like to end this discussion right now...it hurts to much to discuss it right now. There was no hurt on her part. I was helping them with the divorce. They both wanted it. They have both moved on in life. I just wanted to know if it was wrong for me to be friends with him. That's what I meant by being around him. I have already solved the problem, (last night) it hurts too much to talk about it. It's hard to explain, Thanks anyway guys. Rhonda

I respect your desire to end the discussion. I do not know your exact circumstances but I want to say one thing and then I'll leave this discussion alone.

Yes, it is ok to be friends with him. Provided there is no lust or physical relationship. Adultry requires desire and/or action. You can be his friend without that.

That said, this also depends on the circumstances of the divorce. Read Matthew 5 and I think you'll get a little insight on this issue.

I want to thank all of you that prayed for me. I made it through today, it was hard, but I know that the Lord walked with me every step of the way, even if I didn't feel his divine presence....I just knew he was there protecting me. Love you guys Rhonda

Praying for you Rhonda. Fieldmouse hit the nail on the head, the right thing to do, in many cases, isn't the easiest. I just pray that you will continue to trust in the Lord, even in those days that you don't exactly feel him, that you will trust that he is there.
