Hmm ...

Interesting that you should fall victim to the exact same trap as von Daniken, except at the opposite end of the scale.

Have you ever considered that your extraordinary claim might require extraordinary evidence, which you have failed to provide?

There is simply NO evidence to prove that ETs never came to earth and influenced human history. None. To make such a claim is flat out stupid. Know what I mean?

Apocalyptic-mania is a toxic obsession. Flee from it.

-CryptoLutheran

So much yes.

On a related note, one thing I worry about with electing Christian presidents is that they will believe we are living in the end-times and will act accordingly to this belief.

No worries this time 'round as one is a godless Marxist and the other a godless cult member. However in four years we'll have to deal with Santorum again...

Not all Christians believe in 'The end times'.

In fact I'd say the vast majority do not.

In fact I'd say the vast majority do not.

40% of the US population believes that Jesus will return by 2050, in a fairly recent poll. That's half of US Christians.

Thank you, Richard. Your pointed, sharp and ever dry sarcasm is always so refreshing, especially when it's out of place. Then again, you hold to humanistic views, so I guess you're right on target for your own beliefs.

If he is not your King why do you wish to be one of his Kingdom?

This is not just a term lightly bantered around in your scripture. He says he is your King. He spared your life when you too his. He is supposed to be in your heart, his will your will.

Will you not be subject to your King?

You know, Accuser, I've challenged you just about every time, and you've failed to bring anything to the table but rhetoric, obfuscation and cretinous attempts at perspicacity.

So, let me try it again: You tell me, right now, where I am not subject. Go on. I'll wait.

Your KING sir spared your life when you murdered him.
Your KING sir you say is in your heart.
Your KING sir you say his will is your will.

That is what all The Christians say. Now is it true or just words to placate your KING?

I have seen her and you and others that call themselves Christians on here say that they follow their KING. And yet have shown in many posts a decided lack of The Second Great Commandment.

If you REALLY believe that book that you love so dearly, then WHY don't you follow the Second Great Command? What is so hard to do that when you say that Jesus is in your heart and soul. That his will is your will? That the Kingdom is NOW within you.

If that is so then the second should be a cakewalk.

But it is not. From hurling stones at your fellow Christians when they don't believe in your way and hurling them at non-Christians in ways that YOU do not like when done to you!

YOU are all supposed to be Light to This World. Well bring it out from under your bushel. SHOW your light!

Still waiting, Accuser.

You tell me, right now, where I, or Stiggy, are not subject. Go on. I'll wait.

Oh, yeah... Also waiting to see you make the attempt to behave half as decently as you demand of others.

I posted because it is supposed to be THE cornerstone of how you should pray.

Not just A method, but THE method as told by Your King. Not just some prophet, not just some holy man, not just some zealot.

But YOUR God.

Your God said to pray that way.

To accept his will because he already KNOWS what you need to pray about.

Too often I hear Christians saying they believe in their God and his mighty words of the bible and STILL they pray like people did before him. They pray for what they want. They pray like he is some big miracle vending machine. Insert prayer, get gooey, warm, selfish desire for yourself.

I have heard people pray that their loved ones not be taken by God.

WRONG! God do what you will with my loved one. If they are in too much pain to bear let them go be with you is what they SHOULD pray. But if you see fit to heal then good deal.

Too often I hear people pray for rain when it is dry. He KNOWS it is dry he made it that way! Or don't you believe he is in control? He will make it rain when he is good and ready.

I have heard them pray to win the lottery so they can take care of their family better. All the while when you look at the stats most people that win the lottery suffer through economic woe because they spend too much. Maybe he KNOWS you will foul it up?

Pray for healthy children, he knows that.
Pray for my team to win. Vain.
Pray that Obama gets what is coming to him. Re-election will make you think twice won't it?
Pray that he comes quickly and the world ends soon. Selfish, what of the people whom will die because of your hurry?

So many prayers. So wrong. And yet these pious thinking people believe they are just fine.

I posted it again in that way to remind you that your Book and Your GOD said this is how and WHY you pray.

Or else he would have just allowed you to keep slaughtering animals and ritualising their lives just so you can go and sin again and again and again.

I cannot be the ONLY one who sees this.

The Bible tells us to be conscious of His coming - it tells us to look for the signs. It also says there are special Blessings for those watching - we are to be a watchman on the wall.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Says the Accuser who, as a side note, has just posted five or six times in the last half hour in a manner that violates the basic rules of this board. Interesting.

Regardless, I'm still waiting. I've issued you several challenges, Accuser, and you've answered none of them. For one who responds to people as though he has all the answers, I am surprised that, when asked to provide them, you fade away into the night...

How is he a Marxist when he saved the corporations and has let the Bushg Tax Cuts stay in place?

How does a man that is a plutocrat in the hands of the conglomerates be Marxist?

It is contrary to Marxism to support the bourgeoisie.
