  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Baptist
I am a Baptist, born and raised. I'm 19 years old. I definitly GLORIFY God in my everyday life. BUT, not to long ago I was asked, by a Non Baptist, what my top 10 Tentets are? I was clueless! It made me question my own beliefs or lack there of. I stay faithful to my Baptist church on Sundays (its a very old school style- hyms, very structured) , but on Wednesday I have been going to a Non Denominational church. Which is very different (healings, speaking in tongues, lifting and waiving your arms, actual PRAISE music). At the NoN-Dom church I recently accepted the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in evidence of speaking in tongues in an attempt to connect better with God. I even witnessed first hand some healing miracles, but in my head all i could do is think as a Baptist and try and proove to myself that it wasn't real. Naturally, I feel that I am getting more from the Non Dom church, BUT I'm not sure about all of their beliefs. I have constanly been praying about this matter and I have been digging in my Bible for scriptures to prove to me which is the most Biblical and which i should belive. I ask, beg, plead for your help!

Hope I helped.^_^

Baptist and Charismatic(that is what that Non-denom is, a Charismatic church) teachings are compatable, but rarely combined.

Be careful though, Baptism of the Holy Spirit does not always have the evidence of speaking in tongues, so don't get caught up in that incorrect doctrine.
However, realize that the gifts exist today.
Go to both Churches. Be fed by both.
