Completely OT: dvddonkey.com

I was looking at a few things and came across this site. I noticed that a good number of the boxed sets here looked COMPLETELY different than everywhere else I've seen them (online, and often lingering at Costco for long periods of time). Does anyone know why that would be?

I was looking particularly at the Little House on the Prairie complete boxed set, which was half the price of everywhere else I'd seen it, but the boxes were white and plainer, whereas everywhere else I've seen this, they've been colorful and covered with pictures of the actors.

There's nothing else about the site that makes it look non-legit, but the fact that so much of the packaging on a number of their products looks different gave me pause. Any thoughts?

Any time something looks to good to be true, I do a google search on the name of the site, and look for pages that are critical of the site, and if it's like this site where people are talking about being ripped off, I steer clear. If it's people ranting about things that aren't illegal I assume that it is a popular site.

Yeah, I don't like ordering from places that aren't VERY well established, like zappos and amazon. That's too bad that it's a rip off - the prices looked awesome. Guess I'll have to wait til Costco has a sale again!!!

have you ever tried froogle? It's a price comparison engine from google. It tells you the prices and in most cases there is a rating system to tell you what kind of company you'd be dealing with.

I'm really glad you showed me that complaints website - I did a little further digging, and WOW!! This company has ripped off a LOT of people!!

Yeah, out of curiosity I checked out their site and pulled up their copies of Stargate SG-1. One major giveaway that the site is not legit is that the region coding on the DVDs is region 0 (no region code). While certain foreign films and independently published DVDs may not have a region code, no major US publishing company is going to to release DVDs anywhere worldwide with a region 0 coding.

Hey need some help here with cooking ham... precooked ham... I know how to bake the turkey ....but ham. This will be my first time cooking it... Any suggestions?
