  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And here in this cage we have our Australians, sort of in their natural element. Hurling insults at each other and everyone around. They used to be a rare species until they all started breeding like bunnies and now nothing will keep them in line. They're pretty easy to keep - Vegemite and water and the occasional piece of chocolate just about does it. Don't let them run loose off leash, they're a hazard on the highways and byways, not knowing how to drive on the correct side of the road and all. A muzzle is a good thing to keep handy, too. Just in case. They want to talk you to death. They will if given a chance. Ok, ok, keep your fingers away from that one! (Pulls child away from Bev's gnashing teeth) She's probably rabid. Ok, on to the next exhibit, please...
