1. Origen "invented" the LXX by inserting NT passages into the OT to make it look like the NT authors were quoting the OT.
2. God's secret language for spreading His word is English.
3. Quotes emminent historian H G Wells (yes, I realize he wrote a book about history. But is this the best you can do?)

Im with St. Christopher. I don't much care for Disney history.

It's not a matter of whether I agree with them. Rather whether they provide solidly researched evidence for what they provide. The first doesn't qualify as well-researched. Pelikan has demonstrated scholarship and research for 50 years.

Yes, I have a little background in research, methodology, and Biblical scholarship (conservative, btw) - 9 years of postgraduate education (beyond college) in History, Exegetical Theology, and Systematics.
