I'm going to post a few items...but the list is incredible...seems we're making "progress" ​

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.


I just picked a few items to post...the entire list is mind blowing...how many can we check off - DONE?

I don't think we need to worry about outside attacks...I think we're doing a fine job from within...

I like to point out to the hardcore Republicans that these two items were advanced nicely under a Republican President with a Republican Congress.

Politics is not the friend of Christianity. For a long time, we had similar goals, a stable society focused on stable families, and could therefore work together. This is no longer true.

Dorothy Sayers, a contemporary and friend of C.S. Lewis, recognized and wrote about this in 1940's England as she saw the alliance between Church and State dissolving.

It is time to recognize that we must be prepared to stand alone. A reading of the Early Church Fathers will reveal that not only is this possible, but that Christianity will be strengthened from within.

Interestingly...I see all of this as more the mindset of the people rather than specifically politicians...

...and pretty indicative of how we place our votes and the issues we support...45 years later.

The truth is that the public compulsory education system has been one of the worst things ever to happen to our country. I wonder if they'll ever see why we refuse it as a worldview and why we fight against it. We know where it leads.

Yes indeed sister...an alarm is sounding...how many times are we going to hit the snooze button?

I know I sound like a broken record Cris, but this is why I keep bringing up end times.
In order for those events to come to pass, a republican who refuses to let any of those standards happen won't be in office, a liberal will have to be in office to allow the rest of the end times events play out.

Anyone's welcome to contest & disagree with that, but you will not get me to change my mind on it - not from what I read of prophecy and the world's mad rush to "peace" - and mass Christian persecution.

As things are right now in the USA, end times events won't be possible - the hinderances have to be removed.
Liberalism is the vehicle that is being used to impliment all that will be needed for the green light to prophetic events to unfold faster/sooner.

That's why I think this is just the beginning. The country is ripe for it in its rebellion against God and the youth being raised outside the church.
The Youth vote was calculated at 64 to 32% republican.
that shows me the propaganda from the education system is hard at work making liberals out of kids - the parents don't seem to care either.

The writing's on the wall as far as I'm concerned.

I'm honestly not, but I do believe alot of the signs of the global unity are on the horizon and that they aren't promoted by the conservative party.

I need to do more study on end times. I know it in my head generally, but really not enough w/ verses to back up certain events.

Well...I can only speak for myself...this thread isn't about shouting "The End is Near" or "soon" or anything thing else of the sort...

...but rather the ideologies that are shaping our society and our government.

....that even 45 years ago...Congress was compliling data and submitting reports warning of the degeneration of democracy in the United States and presented item by item the steps being taken toward that goal.

FTR...my only consideration for the role the US plays in End Time prophesy...is in the destruction of this nation as THE world power.

But here is the real point...we all need to take a look and examine the way the world is turning...beginning with our own backyard...

...and make some decisions where our priorties lie and what we're called to do as Christians...servants of Christ Jesus...

...personally...I see very little left to do on the political front...the alarm isn't sounding to heal this country...

...but to be about our Father's business.

And IMO...sometimes that includes pointing out the cracks and pitfalls in the path.

It's all too easy to just skip along singing "All is well...All is well" and fall into the pit of apathy.

If republicans would have had their way with education there would be no NEA, the states would be funding and running their own schools according to how their citizens want them run. Instead we are still stuck with the same liberal agenda the NEA has had for years.
