  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

“Nothing astonishes men so much as common sense and plain dealing.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
PSALM 62:1-2 NKJV

The Psalms that David wrote astonish me to no end. They are “common sense and plain dealing.” David tells it like it is, even through the many battles, family problems, personal problems of adultery and murder, and enemies that never ceased to come against him, he still knew where his strength came from. When you know that you know, way down deep inside your heart, that God is on your side. Then personal problems and trials will cease to be so important as we turn our will over to the Rock. David can silently wait for God because God cannot be defeated. I get a picture of a large rock or a mountain with a fortress on top, and there, God has placed me. Nothing can penetrate the fortress because of the awesome size of the Rock. I am safe, and I shall not be moved by any enemy force. Only if I step out of the security of my salvation am I able to be defeated. I choose to wait in my fortress knowing that the finished work of the Cross has given me the weapons to win the battles. The war has been won, but many battles are still to be fought. Common sense and plain dealing will keep my feet in the Fortress on the Rock. God is doing for me what I could not do for myself…………JRE

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
