Far too often, we will forget what sin is. Indeed, many will go through an entire day of sin, and will not ask of The Lords forgiveness. in their eyes, they have done nothing wrong. So i come forth, spirit filled and inspired, to open eyes to sin.
I. "I AM THE LORD THY GOD, THOU SHALT NOT HAVE strange gods BEFORE ME."
Here The Lord speaks the first command. God commands that no God be before Him, either in His presence, or as a greater priority. have you found yourself putting your will, or others will before the will of God? What right have we to claim that our concepts of what is right and what must be is greater than God's? we are but mortal, while he is infinite.
II."THOU SHALT NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD THY GOD IN VAIN."
Often we will find ourselves doing such without thought. whenever we claim to be "christian" and followers of God, yet we commit one of these other sins, we are taking it in vain. indeed to disrespect God's name in conversation is as well (do not misunderstand), however to disrespect in deed is far worse than in word ("it does not matter what you believe, rather, what you do with that belief" quoted from my former youth pastor).
III."REMEMBER THOU KEEP HOLY THE SABBATH DAY."
This is perhaps one of the simplest commandments, and yet it is still found that there would be those who do not keep it (therefore, sin). The sabath day will vary from denomination to denomination, but for a general reference, the day is frequently sunday. On this day, many businesses are closed, mail is not delivered, and traffic is quite often difficult to manage on the more well traveled roads. Indeed, it seems like besides church and worship there is very little left to do; so why the weekly sin to "sit back with a cold one and watch the game"? Physical disability? Transportation? Behold, The Lord has said " KEEP HOLY" not attend church. Is it not a simple matter of remembering throughout the day The God who made you AND saved you, a time spent in worship and prayer? A simple, yet frequently overlooked commandment.
For now, my brothers and sisters in Christ, i leave you to read this with God in your hearts and minds, that you may better understand His will. i will continue this at another time. my prayers and blessings.
Entrenched in Christ,
Jacob
