• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

as weird as it may sound I tried looking for that commercial over the internet. But couldnt find it. I wonder if it was trying to tell you watching certain types of TV can lead to Hell

Theres alot of TV/movies we as Christians shouldnt be watching. But in no way does "HDTV" send someone to hell.

We need to concentrate less what other people/tv says and more to what the bible says that can send a person into damnation ;)

I don't know if this tends to be true for you guys, but I find that I think my OCD does make me more sensitive to what someone may say about a topic, especially a topic that "trigger's one of my own issues than maybe someone else would be.

Giving TOO much weight to someone else's opinion is something I personally have to battle, even at my advanced age of 53!;) It can definitely be a snare, especially when battling OCD.

Your right Kay, it can be a snare. One that I have battled as well. (when it is related to scriptures.)While I cant say ill never get stuck in it again, since mine dealt with mostly religious issues I try to make it a must to take everything to God.
