I recently commented on a thread dealing with sexual lust and I got to thinking about this verse. Matthew 5:28-But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath comitted adultery with her already in his heart. Do you think Jesus was just pointing out the obvious fact that yeah when we lust we do see ourselves engaged with our object of affection or was he saying we are literally guilty of the act of adultery. This has always puzzled me.Theres not a person alive who has total control over their thoughts. Its like someone else has the tv clicker alot of the time, things just pop up. I've always leaned toward this just being commentary. Some new mothers are afflicted with baby blues and have thoughts of killing their babies, does that make them murders? I'd like to see what you think.
