  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Come Unto Me

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Psalm 62:1-2 My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

This is the call of Jesus, 'Come Unto Me'. He calls us again and again. He continues to call out of His great love for us. Notice who He calls - those in need of His rest, His refreshing. People who feel self sufficient feel no need for the rest of Jesus, and so are not listening for His voice. He is calling those who need Him, who need His refreshing, His strength to follow His plan for their lives.

In Jesus Christ the kingdom of God has come. He is calling 'Come Unto Me'. He is eagerly waiting for a response. Do you hear His call? Will you accept His invitation?

Lord, help us always to rely on You, to hear and accept Your call. Remind each heart that true rest is found in You alone.

Come Unto Me

.

Come unto Me all who labor,
all who feel heavy, weighed down with care.
Come, raise your hearts to Me in prayer.
I long to lift you upward with My mighty hand.
Come, weary, worn, and heavy-laden,
in Me, find a firm place to stand.
I long to be your Rock and fortress.
Come, cast your cares upon Me,
Come, Come unto Me,
in Me alone,
find rest for your weary soul.
