  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I realize this is considered sort of old news but today with the new videos being released, I think we should take a moment to say a special prayer for the families.

My son brought something to my attention today that sort of blew my mind. First, we all know that this was a sort of martyr story for some in that some of the kids were killed after professing their faith. Apparently when they were asked if they believe, they remained firm and said yes even with the knowledge that they would be killed. I do not know for sure if it was one or two or three that this happened to, I only know it did happen.

Secondly, has anyone ever stopped to think of the irony that there were 12 students and 1 teacher who were killed?

Give that a little thought...12 students and 1 teacher...

Very sad story. I pray the families have found peace in knowing their kids are with Jesus. :prayer:

Actually, this has been refuted. Researchers find after more interviews of witnesses, no one was singled out for religious belief.

But still, it is a sad tragedy, and we should pray for all those involved.

Really? I hadn't heard that part. The last I heard was that someone was singled out for religious beliefs...oops

That's the last I heard, too. I also got the impression, however, that people in the secular world really didn't want it to be true...

I pray for the peace of all of the survivors.

I remember when that happened . . . oh, so very sad day! I earnestly pray for their families to find peace--especially those of the two boys that did the massacre. I cannot imagine the guilt of losing your son to suicide much less knowing that he took the lives of so many others before that of his own. My heart just breaks for all involved. :(

I think they were really asked but if they would have denied the Lord I don't think it would have made any difference, they still would have been killed. I think the murderers were just trying to be funny, trying to make a mockery out what we recognize as good. But in any event, what a grace God gave them, to be able to profess that they do believe. They were given the grace to be like Jesus.

Yes, I agree...
