  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Religion is about what you do. Your good works, obedience, repentance, law keeping, how much you give, your church attendance, prayer etc.

The Gospel/good ISN'T about how righteous & sinless perfect believers are. It's about how righteous & sinless perfect HE is.

Believers become complete/perfect when they place their faith/trust in Christ's sin atoning work. Found in his death (sins required wage PAID) burial (proof Jesus died) & resurrection (Father's receipt, sins payment received & accepted.

Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision """made without hands""", in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
(NOTE: The Holy Spirit baptism into Christ's body is preformed by Christ himself (Matt 3:11 & Luke 3:16). It's a spiritual circumcision/covenant. Once Christ's spirit dwells/IN US, Christ our High Priest (Heb 4:14) imputes (Rom 4:3-8) ALL our sins onto himself & his righteousness onto us & become the righteousness of God IN HIM. (2 Cor 5:21)
