2. Is hitting on girls a sin? This sounds funny, but basically, getting as many numbers for kicks and/or with guy friends for sport a sin?

That is a great game me and a missionary friend used to play that one when i was still in Kansas, my record is 18 in one night 9pm-3am he got close to 30 i could never beat him

^^bit sad dya not think,ur aiming to raise ur selfesteem thru how many positive responses u get from the gals i guess, whether its subconscious or not.and it looks a bit dodgy which i guess is the argument against clubbing.the NT tells us to stay away from even the appearance of evil.

Dang dude, 30 is amazing, that's like 10 minutes a number. I play at college =/

not sure on the math, but in a packed dance hall(contry music i'm really obseenly white) you just ask for there number after the song is over, but let me tell you we were not messing around or wasting any time

Shorty, I prayed for you.

I've done the 'number game' too. It's a thrill, but I find it wrong now. I felt like I was treating these girls so cheaply (even if they were acting cheap). I'm trying to stay away from the bar scene now. It's just too tempting and easy. How does that benefit peoples salvation? Or your own? These actions take you away from Jesus, not closer.

Maybe some parties, if the atmosphere is right. I don't think the club scene is a good place to bring people to Jesus. It's like preaching to a wall. A dirty, dirty wall.

I think that is very jugdemental of you, assuming that people at a dance hall are dirty, i go to dance halls does that make me dirty, i don't think so, furthermore many people a club are searching for something, why not give them something that they never expceted

I don't think I'm being judgemental. The clubs themselves ARE dirty, both physically (even seen the bathrooms in a nightclub?) and spiritually. I'm curious. You live in the US and you're 20 years old. Have you even been to night clubs? They are very different from a dance hall. Alcohol flows freely and people grind and make out quite a bit. Sure, not everyone is "dirty" at night clubs, but speading the gospel at a club isn't usually very well received. While some people do go just to dance, many people partying are mainly looking to "pick up" or get smashed. Or both. I used to be a hard partier (bar star, whatever). I now find these places to be full of sin and I try and avoid them now. I'm not talking about sports bars or whatever. I mean more raver-type clubs.

no i have been to my fair share of physically dirty night clubs, both in the state and outside of the country, i know how people dance there becuase well i've done it and seen it so don't think i'm just saying things because i want to, your right a lot of people go there in search of a one night stand or to get smashed but that is what they are searching for, but Jesus has far so much more to offer, as far as witnessing not being resived well, then my guess is you are not doing it right in said envoroment, while you might be good at it out side the club some of us see an opunity in side the club, and as far as raving i can glow stick with the best of them

dude, your awesome. That made me laugh my *** off.

if you can lead people to Christ in a club, then that's great! One thing: what would someone think if you say that you are a Christian but you are in a bar with a fake ID? Wouldn't that make your Christian values look weak? You would be telling people about the truth while you lied yourself into a bar. That seems hypocritical and doesn't present a positive view for Christianity. I don't doubt your intentions, but it just doens't look good.

you assume that all bar are 21 and over, which they are not in some states(Kansas where im from for example) you just have to be over 18 to enter and over 21 to drink, so no lieing here, second, i apply the same logic for house, or aprtempt paties, dancing happesn there too, and yes i can and have, just means more people that are conforable in that situation, almost like a prymaid scheme, it works becuase Paul tell us to be a good chirsitan as well as a real person when sharing the gospel, to these people real people go out dance and have a good time, if you can show them you can do that with out being drunk off your rocker and still have morals, it turns head and somtimes souls

I really didn't know that you could go into bars at 18 in some states. As you can tell, I live in Canada. The only state that I've went to bars in is Minnesota. So I guess my last post doesn't really apply to you.

You have a good point about partying without being drunk, that it "turns heads". It can. Personnally, I find that I get myself into trouble at clubs. So I want to avoid them. Clubs have a completely different atmosphere then house parties do. At least for me they do. I find that at a house party, it's easy to get into a good convo with someone. That isn't the case for me at a loud club.
