  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

He should go to the slave markets of Libya to see what real slavery is like

American football player Colin Kaepernick has reached a new low. His claim to fame lies not in his athletic performance— not anywhere near greatness—, but on his kneeling acts during the playing of the American national anthem as a protest against police brutality (admittedly, a problem worth addressing, although not with the racial implication Kaepernick attributes it).

This rise to fame as a social justice warrior allowed Kaepernick to market his own brand of shoes with Nike, yet disturbingly he has remained silent regarding labour abuses of corporations —such as Nike— in China, where his shoes are made.

But now, Kaepernick has taken his chutzpah to a new level. As part of a Netflix documentary series about his life, Kaepernick has released a video in which black football players morph into slaves being sold by white masters in a 19th Century auction. Kaepernick then goes on to attempt to establish similarities between the National Football League and slavery, explaining that “before they put you on the field, teams poke, prod and examine you, searching for any defect that might affect your performance. No boundary respect, no dignity left intact.”

He is a moron. "Before they put you on the field, teams poke, prod and examine you, searching for any defect that might affect your performance. No boundary respect, no dignity left intact.”

Oh, boo-hoo-hoo. Guess what, dunderhead: when I went into the military, I got poked, prodded, and examined, too---and on a scale I can practically guarantee you that YOU didn't experience. That is, unless you can claim having at least two different military doctors sticking their fingers so far up your rectum that they can tickle your tonsils with the tips.

That aside, nobody put you up on an auction block and said, "How much am I bid for this fine specimen?" You volunteered to play football, and you got paid for it, and right handsomely. Slaves didn't volunteer to be enslaved, and they got paid nothing.

Stop talking, imbecile. You make yourself look foolish, and the rest of us are sick and tired of listening to your constant diarrhea. If you think things are soooo tough for you here in the US of A, then for the love of all that is holy, go somewhere else. Go to Africa. Go to China. Go to Antarctica. We don't care where you go, just GO.

Million dollars slaves. I'd sign myself up for. It's an idiotic statement and is insulting to the people who actually had to endure slavery. If they were making millions, they would have probably fought against the Union to keep this system going.

It's possible that I've never seen such a blatant opportunist in my lifetime.

EDIT: I think it's worth mentioning that I was a fan of his 10 years ago when he played for the Niners, before he sucked and decided to go woke to compensate.
