I've just found out recently that coffee also gives me chest pains! I've never been a big coffee drinker, but lately I've been drinking it and it's making me feel awful. (I'll stick to my hot chocolate. :D ) But I'm curious too, if there are any other coffee alternatives?

I love flavored capuccino but caffeine isn't really good for me. If I found something my tastebuds liked just as well without the caffeine I'd go for it, but I really love this stuff. I can even get it at church on Sunday mornings! Good luck in finding something different.

Just drink more water. Coffee in and of itself is not bad for you.

Absolutely- I have to. I drink more than a gallon just to keep the pain from returning after having a mug of coffee. Which is why I drink it so rarely. I don't know why it dries me out so much-even the decaf does.

Have you tried to make the coffee weaker? When I had the chest pains with the coffee, I had been drinking it for about 2 or 3 months. I realized it was the coffee and since I wasn't too addicted (yet ;) ) I stopped right away and drank more water. Haven't had any problems since. :)

I have to make it weaker. But now that I'm committing to drinking at least a gallon of water a day after drinking a mug of coffee, I've been able to get away with it for two days straight with only slight chest pains! If you knew how much I love coffee (one of God's greatest gifts to mankind), you'd know how happy I am about this. I may even be able to get back into martial arts. Well, maybe that's pushing it. I don't know.

ForU, thanks for the encouragement. It's true. I want to climb but there's no way it's possible right now. I'm hoping for martial arts, but that gave me problems the last time. Hiking is a good as it gets.

Jobstears, water is the best-but it tastes the worst!

Silent Enigma, you're right. I shouldn't. It's just... :sigh:
I don't know.
