Love "Does Greek Orthodox count?"!! She should try Ionian Village (the big summer camp for the Greeks). One comedian calls it "Presbyteras-R-Us"

I try to hold myself to the general rule of thumb that I should be more invested in doing good than looking good. That doesn't mean I never wear dressy clothes, or make up, or jewellery, but that I try not to make my appearance the focus of my time, attention, and money.

The mainstream Christian understanding is that modesty is about conduct and how we present ourselves in general; not having anything to do with fashion choices. St. Paul's talk about makeup and jewelry needs to be understood within the framework of ancient Greco-Roman culture. There's nothing wrong with jewlry, makeup, or certain kinds of clothes, or hair styles, etc--it's about conduct and not making ourselves the center of attention.

Modesty isn't about what we wear.
