  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm beginning to wonder if the beast that is described in Rev. chap 13 verse 1 has to do with sun, planets and moons.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

My thoughts are that the Book of Revelation is divinely-inspired Scripture, and therefore both true and inerrant.

Anthropogenic climate change, on the other hand, is a cross between a crocodile and an abalone: a crocabaloney.

No. I think they're called an abaldile.

And I saw a beast from the sea ascends, having ten horns and heads seven, and on him horns ten diadems, and upon the heads them name of blasphemy.

Sea is space. 7 heads are planets, 10 horns are moons. Diadems refer to the sun. Blasphemy is present because Satan is involved.

Sounds good to me!

What does it even mean to call one poetic metaphor after another "inerrant"...???

My thoughts are that I have no idea what that has to do with climate change...

So, if the first beast is climate change, (I'm sure everyone would agree it is a threat to humanity), the real danger is going to be the second beast in Rev chap 13 verse 11. The danger is that Christians won’t recognize this person for who he is because they are looking for an individual who will be mortally wounded and then miraculously healed.

Sometime between June and July of 2013 when it is certain that crops are not going to produce very much yield and global food inventories are threatened, this second beast will begin talking about the need to kill some to save others. These "merciful killings" will be seen by many as the answer to the problem. Why watch them slowly starve when they can be humanely killed?

Is that the wrong solution to the problem?
