There have been many occurrences of "odd weather" of late which I believe are a precursor to the climatic events mentioned by Christ in Lu. 21 and by John in Revelation. However, I think that these events happen some decades in the future, but we are seeing the warning signs now. Jesus Christ makes the following statement in Luke:
"25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;" Lu. 21:25
Christ specifically mentions the "sea and waves roaring". Remember that we have been seeing the breakup/melting of glaciers, and that this is predicted to raise sea levels by at least a few inches (Ill post sources to this later). The point is, that the climate changes we are seeing now will eventually get so bad that the human race will KNOW there is something terribly wrong but they will not know what to do. Vines on perplexity: " is translated "perplexity" in Luk 21:25 (lit., "at a loss for a way," a, negative, poros, "a way, resource"), of the distress of nations, finding no solution to their embarrassments; papyri illustrations are in the sense of being at one's wit's end, at a loss how to proceed, without resources."
The human race will be confronted with these things, and have no idea what to do. Heres the subsequent verse (in Luke):
"26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." Lu. 21:26
Looking after, #4329, prosdokia, expectation (whether good or evil). Vines on "looking after": "a watching for, expectation" (akin to A, No. 2, which see), is used in the NT only of the "expectation" of evil, Luk 21:26, RV, "expectation," AV, "looking for," regarding impending calamities;"
So mankind will KNOW that something is terribly wrong, and will EXPECT bad things to happen. These climate changes are even so fearful, apparently, that some people will die from heart attacks (Mens hearts failing them for fear).
What we are beginning to see right now is, in my opinion, the warning signs of massive climate changes that will cause the events of Lu. 21 and Revelation (which are, in my opinion, a few decades away). Heres a few examples:
From Britain Prepares for Worst Snowstorm in 23 Years - Europe | Map | News - FOXNews.com:
"With the South of England last night expecting the biggest snowfall for more than 20 years, business groups warned that the "deep freeze" could cost the economy up to £2 billion."
From States brace for second arctic blast - CNN.com:
"Much of the South remained under a hard freeze warning Wednesday as arctic air caused record low temperatures overnight and into the morning, according to the National Weather Service."
"In Atlantic, Iowa, a record set in 1958 was broken when the temperature dropped to minus 29 degrees Monday, according to the National Weather Service."
Back in 2008, snow fell in Baghdad for the FIRST TIME IN 100 YEARS (from Snow falls on Baghdad for first time in memory | Reuters):
""It is the first time we've seen snow in Baghdad," said 60-year-old Hassan Zahar. "We've seen sleet before, but never snow. I looked at the faces of all the people, they were astonished," he said."

Remember that one of the signs Christ gives is "the sea and waves roaring", which could be caused by either rising sea levels or more frequent storms/hurricanes.

"Glaciers along the margins of Antarctica and Greenland are flowing into the ocean at an ever-increasing rate due to rising sea temperatures, warn researchers in the UK."

"Glaciers in Antarctica are melting faster and across a much wider area than previously thought, a development that threatens to raise sea levels worldwide and force millions of people to flee low-lying areas, scientists said Wednesday."
"By the end of the century, the accelerated melting could cause sea levels to climb by 3 to 5 feet - levels substantially higher than predicted by a major scientific group just two years ago."
I think that the sea levels will climb long before that probably decades into the future instead of the end of the century.
Jellyfish swarms (from Giant jellyfish head north in warming world - World environment- msnbc.com):
"This year's jellyfish swarm is one of the worst he has seen, Hamano said. Once considered a rarity occurring every 40 years, they are now an almost annual occurrence along several thousand miles of Japanese coast, and far beyond Japan."
""These increases in jellyfish should be a warning sign that our oceans are stressed and unhealthy," said Lucas Brotz, a University of British Columbia researcher."
The point is, if you read all of the articles and examine everything that has been happening recently odd weather, glaciers melting, animals in places they shouldnt be, etc., it becomes obvious that something is wrong. And I think that these events are a warning sign of things to come in Luke 21 and Revelation.
