• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hello friends! As of right now, I am currently enrolled in Statistics class at my college, and my end-semester project involves the collection of data and proper analysis, so I decided that I would do an analysis of individuals with Asperger Syndrome. I am looking to get at least 35 subjects to fill out this short questionnaire below, it’s really short, though I have only a few conditions:

• You must have Asperger Syndrome. If you have a condition in addition to Asperger Syndrome, you may participate, but (and I’m real sorry) for the sake of consistency and accuracy you cannot participate if you do not have AS.
• You must be professionally diagnosed. I’m sorry, but no self-diagnoses.
• For the sake of accuracy, I ask you to be completely honest

Also, a short privacy policy: No personal information will be used in my final project. No e-mail addresses, no usernames, no personal information, nothing. No one will be able to track you down and identify you. I will not even record it. I will gather the statistical data you give me, organize it, and that is it. The given information will not be used for any other purpose than this project.
With that, here is the questionnaire.

1. Have you been diagnosed by a qualified psychologist?
2. Have you been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome?
3. How many years has it been since you have been diagnosed?
4. What is your current age?

5. What is the highest level of education that you have pursued? Select One (Delete all that don't apply)
a. Currently in high school or earlier
b. High school graduate, no further education
c. Two-year college experience, no graduation
d. Two-year college graduate
e. Four –year college experience, no graduation
f. Four-year college graduate
g. More than undergraduate degree

6. How many total years have you been pursuing education?

With that, I thank every single one of you participants in advance.

1 - I am not sure bout that question.
2 - Yes I have done this, I was diagnosed by Dr Tony Atwood.
3 - 11 years.
4 - I am 19 now.
5 - Does gap-year count? The reason why I asked is I am in my gapyear and I live in NZ (a gap year is how can I put it to u, ummm a gap year is a year between highschool and jobs).
6 - hmmm, I was 5 when I started and left school at hmmm 18 so that is 13 years.

Gap year wouldn't count, I basically mean how much time you've spent sitting in a classroom setting. By the first question, I mean do you affirm that it was a doctor who diagnosed you with the condition? A lotta people tend to be self-diagnosed, but for accuracy sake I can't use self-diagnoses. Sounds like you answered it though cuz you gave me the doctor's name. Thanks
