Here's the OOC thread. I'll put the basic info on here to start with. Later on (after Danni has posted her reaction and all to my char's untimely death

This is not our world. This is not our time. This is a time before time. Another reality, another world. This is Cian. Cian is a world younger than ours. Everything is much rougher, having not had as much weather and decay. It is also much greener and much more full of life. Evil hasn’t entered full force... until now. A new power has arisen, deep in the forests of Azban. Its ruler bears the name of Zar. Deep and dark, it has begun to spread over all Cian, subtly and swiftly it has plagued the land.
But it will not go unchallenged. The Keepers of the Word and Living Light are powerful as well, and they will fight to the death to defend their homes. The Keepers mostly reside in the beautiful city of Lucia, a city made bright by the Light of Gamma. This light cannot be extinguished except by the will of its own people, and it cannot be stolen. So the Light sits in the middle of the city on a high platform, safe and secure.
The Keepers are the followers of the Light. They worship it and adore it. They take the Light to the far corners of Cian inside a locket each wears about their neck. The Light will stay with them, in that locket, till the moment of their death. In that moment, when their soul leaves their body, the Light also leaves, taking the soul with it to the Light in the middle of the city. A Light and a soul companion have been known to travel from one end of Cian to the other to rejoin with the Light of Gamma. A visitor to the city may sometimes see the rare sight of the Locket-Light of a Keeper and the soul of the Keeper itself, fly through the air to the Light of Gamma.
The reason the sight is so rare is that the death of a Keeper is nearly impossible. The Keepers are not immortal or invincible. But they are trained from birth to be the best they can be. Fighters, philosophers, teachers, defenders, leaders, they are the guardians of Cian.
