  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What would the "Church" look like if we did not have buildings to meet in? If we had to meet among "heathens" and worship all the time instead of only on Sunday AM?

This has really bothered me lately and I feel strongly even now the Lord is leading me into a house/small group ministry. This aspect has really driven my psyche lately though. Get people out of the "Christian on Sunday and no other day" mentality. If there are no walls to worship in, then perhaps people may grasp the idea that we are to love and honor each other everyday, not just put on the face as you enter a "sanctuary".

Well, this is what I've been talking about here since day one man:

The lost don't know they are lost & believers are being taught wrong by well meaning people!

Think about this:
When a person is saved, Where do they go?
Also, What are they taught?

So we see multiple things happening here:
1. Wrong doctrine being perpetuated which leads to wrong belief being perpetuated by people who do NOT question what they are taught
2. #1 leads to a side effect of the world viewing believers as X, Y or Z meeting at X, Y, Z location, doing X, Y, Z

The biblical model is the ONLY standard really.

Do I respect what ancient believers did who are mentioned outside the New Testament? Yes of course....many paid with their lives.

BUT the biblical standard is the final authority & believers aren't being taught it nor are they studying the word to know or else they would confront other believers regarding the current mess we're all in.

All this is exactly why I often speak of finding the real non-sectarian testimony God has given in His Word, rather than the various sects men keep forming every year (by taking a few verses and run off to preach something). I believe professing Christians (real or not) will have to answer for dividing the worldwide testimony God has given for the world (1 Cor. 12:25). Honest seekers also have the responsibility to find what is true and not just popular.

God enjoins us to "unity of the Faith" and "all the counsel of God", and to be "rightly dividing the Word of Truth". A few verses here and there is all many preachers know. I will be pleased to show the fullness of God's testimony for the true Church to sincere seekers who PM me. I don't claim to know all things, but I know the Word of God and what is contrary to it.

Well, I'd say get a few believers together to worship God and see how that develops. Then you will have you answer ... each group of people interact differently is what I find. So saying this is what I've seen would mislead you because your group of people would be different and act differently in how they express their love for Jesus.

I used to be an AG minister, credentialled and all that jazz... I saw this very thing first hand, from those who were in leadership positions...

On Sunday they amp up the holiness, then turn it down throughout the week. As though God gives us a certain amount to spend a week and we better have enough on Sunday or else...

How awesome and crazy would that be if all Christians lived as righteously and holy as they do when they attend a service Sunday AM... not that that is the particular standard, but it's a start.
