Church Icon Help Needed

Hi Everyone,

I need some advice. My LCMS Church would like to use Byzantine style icons in the Sanctuary. We can't afford the enormous sanctuary size ones that we need, but we do have a professional Printer. I was wonder if anyone here knows of a store or iconographer that will sell to us small prints (approx. $30.00 a print) and allow us to enlarge them for our use? (We're looking to attain 4 or 5 prints over time).

I don't know if I will be any help but will they be buying the icons from Catholic or Orthodox monasteries or from people who make icons?

Plenty of local Catholic parishes have statuary in their basements, etc. that you could pick up cheap but icons are a less expensive way to decorate depending on what you buy.

Don't forget your Luther Icon.

What is the LCMS or WELS view on statues? I’ve seen them in plenty of ELCA congregations.

I have Icons on my home altar but I'm moving away from them.
