I would like to take the affirmative on this. Any takers on the negative? I won't spend time posting any arguments just yet until someone agrees to engage with me on this subject. All you have to say is agreed or that you would like to discuss with me on this and I will begin to affirm.

It would nice if Christians could gathered every day but our busy lives sometimes make it hard. Thank God He sanctified the seventh day and protected it by Law for the gathering of His people. In this God was once again showing His love for us.

Let me explain...let's say you had an unblieveing boss who would not allow you to take the seventh day off from work to gather as a people of God in praise and worship. Your unbelieveing boss would have to give an account to God for breaking the fourth commandment by fourcing you to work on God's holy day. This is not so with any other day of the week for God has said, "Six days is for labor but the seventh day is to be holy unto the LORD." If your unbelieving boss forces to work on the first day he is not violating any commandment of God.

Now keep in mind, we may be able to gather every day but we can't obey the fourth commandment everyday because we will go broke.

k4c,

Are you interested in discussing whether or not Christians or to come together on the first day of the week?

If you're seeking to know truth I would love to discuss the Sabbath but if you believe and stand unmovable that the venerable day of the sun is the day God blessed and sanctifed for His people then no thanks. I took that train before but it didn't stop at the truth depot.

I would like to discuss the first day of the week. I am seeking truth and if it is not the truth that Christians are to come together on the first day of the week, it should be easy to refute.

Okay, let's start our discussion with you reading through my web site. Once you do that then we can discuss the issue at hand. Is that fair?

The reason why I would like you to read through my web site first is because we are dealing with years of false teachings, twisted Scriptures, fear and persecution. I believe once you read through my web site you will have a clear understanding of what delusion is. Delusion, according to Webster's Dictionary, is when someone believes something in spite of evidence that proves what they believe is false.

May God bless your reading...

k4c,

I am looking for someone to discuss this issue with, not point me to a website. I am still waiting to see if anyone will accept; from your actions, you declined.

The web site will answer all your questions, that is if you have any questions.

Since you refuse to do your research before coming to the table tells me your motives may not be completely sincere.

Are you really trying to learn if the Sabbath is still a blessed and holy day?

k4c,

I went to your website and didn't see any arguments affirming that Christians are to keep the Sabbath that I have not already dealt with and refuted when speaking to Jon. Jon could not answer my arguments and he did a much better job than you did on your website.

I also did not see any good biblical arguments for the first day of the week refuted. That is what I would like to discuss.

Christians can obviously meet any day of the week. But it was Jesus' custom to meet on what day? Wouldn't that be the standard of "Christian" practice? What was the habit of Paul? When John was "in the spirit on the Lord's day," how did he know the Lord had a day and what day was it? Can you provide explicit evidence that the day John refered to was different than what was recognized in Mark 2 and parallel records?

There arn't any arguments for the first day to refute, nowhere in scripture is the first day mentioned as a day of holy convocation.

Amen...

I think one of the problems people have is they believe the Bible restricts gathering together to just one day a week on Saturday, this is not true. Christians can gather everyday of the week if they want but they can't obey the fourth commandment everyday of the week because they will go broke.

The seventh day of every week refects upon the fact that there is a creation and a Creator. This alone has the power to refute the theory of evolution. It will also separate a people for God because our actions define who we are. There is coming a time when keeping the true Sabbath in today's evil, perverse and religious world will be like wearing an American flag in Iraq because keeping the Sabbath holy relveals your allegiance to the one true God.
