In the simplest terms it's: "Listen to Him"

We can use a lot more than just to be clean. We could use some wisdom also. We could use some instruction. We could use a good friend, and only God is good. Maybe a good Teacher? Perhaps a wonderful counselor? Perhaps we could use someone who understands us, even better than we understand ourselves. Perhaps there might be a time when we could use a healer? What about someone in authority and with some power, who could handle problems from others like evil spirits? Those are just somethings off the top of my head.

So as important as cleansing and salvation are, there is a lot more to the Lord than just that.

So in the simplest terms it's "Listen to Him"

Mat 17:5...a voice out of the cloud said, "This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!"

Is 2:1 Listen, O heavens and hear, O earth; For the Lord speaks

Ps 81:13 "Oh, that My people would listen to Me...

Mark 12:29 Jesus answer, "The foremost is "Hear, O Israel!...

Deut 6:4 "Hear, O Israel!...
Deut 6:5 These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.
Duet 6:7 You shall teach them diligently to your sons
Duet 6:9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates
Duet 30:11 For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it our of reach
Duet 30:14 But the word is very near you, in our mouth and in your heart, that you many observe it

Prov 1:8 Hear, my son, your father's instruction
Prov 1:20 Wisdom shouts in the street
Prov 1:23 Turn to my reproof, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you
Prov 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding

Jn 6:63 … the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life
Jn 8:47 He who is of God hears the words of God
Jn 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Is 30:21 Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left

Rev 2:7, 2:11,2:17, 2:29, 3:6, 3:13, 3:22 He who has an ear, let him hear...
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him...

Gal 3:2 This is the only thing I want for find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law or my hearing with faith

Jer 7:23 … I commanded them, saying, 'Obey My voice and I will be your God, and you will be My people
Jer 10:1 Hear the word which the Lord speaks to you, O house of Israel
Jer 35:13..."Will you not receive instruction by listening to My words?" declares the Lord

ANYWAY - Zola Levitt was not too far off, but for the simplest term, the Father said it best! Concerning His Son, the Father said, "Listen to Him."

Do what the Father asks and listen to Him (Jesus Christ) - the rest (the cleansing, salvation, wisdom, healing, protection, provision...) will all be taken care of! AND you will wind us saying, "What a friend I have in Jesus..." Isn't that the realization we need? That we need the Lord Jesus Christ as our friend?

In a nutshell Christianity is the good news from Jesus Christ. That's why the four main books are called Gospels.
I believe Jesus Christ is the Good News, not Christianity. Christianity is a religion. The Christ is the Son of the Most High who took on flesh, went to the cross, died, rose again and sits at the right hand of God on the throne as King in the Kingdom of heaven - and His sheep hear His voice, which is possible because He forgave us and all the Father has is His, which would include the very words of God for us.

The books are called the Gospels, not because they are the good news, but because they explain the good news (Jesus Christ)

There is a significant difference between believing Christianity is the Good News and Jesus Christ is the Good News. The difference has to do with whether a person is going to follow the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord, or a religion with a book as their god.

If Christianity is the good news then I go to church and follow the laws and traditions of the religion called Christianity. If Jesus Christ is the good news then I seek Jesus Christ via the Holy Spirit and get to know Him personally, thus I hear His words like explained in the four Gospels.

The Gospel That Saves all that simply Believe it is found in 1Cor15:1-4......THAT is what we Rest in for our Salvation.....Those That want to discover what the True Gospel is —-and just as important —- what it is NOT, should google this: Ironside Gospel

In the simplest terms, our realization that we need to be cleansed and our going directly to Him for that cleansing results in our salvation.

Zola Levitt

Yes, trusting in the Living Elohim and not in wealth. This is the difference between the righteous and the unrighteous.

]Christianity is a religion

Not really..... “ Religion” is what man does for God . All Religions are just different methods a man uses to make himself “ worthy” before a particular god. It’s all about one’s Performance being adequate or not.
Christianity is the opposite of religion....it’s all about what God has done for hopeless , helpless , lost Sinners.....A Christian knows that he can not never make himself “ Worthy” ——- he must be “ MADE WORTHY” by the Blood Of Jesus , Plus Nothing...
Be seen as “Worthy”—— Fit For Heaven — by RESTING in the Gospel Of Grace....1 Cor15:1-4......

Yeah - Christianity really is a religion.

Jesus Christ is not a religion. So following Him by listening to Him and doing what He says, is not a response to religion, but a response to Him whose name is called "The Word of God". That person would be called a Christian because they follow Him. Yet there is another person who would also call themselves a Christian because they follow a religion called Christianity.

The Lord once gave me a parable called Two Towns. In it we see that often two different things have the same name, and even that people like it that they do. Still they are not being in the same place.

You know that the Lord speaks in parables at times, right (Ps 78)

We are not worthy, means that we are not the ones who know and do only what is right. If we really understood that we would seek the Lord for His instructions even for when to turn to the right or left, and we would hear the voice of the Lord helping us. That voice comes via the Spirit of God who does not speak on His own initiative but as He hears from the Lord Jesus Christ He speaks to our spirit. So what do you mean by "Blood of Jesus". Are you still speaking in parables? He told His disciples that He spoke to people because with their ears they did not hear.

That makes sense, because parables are a way a Teacher uses to help people understand. But if they understand then there is no longer a need to speak to them in parables. So I will give you the parable "Two Towns" that He once gave me to help me understand that a Christian can both be someone seeking Him or someone seeking a religion called Christianity.

TWO TOWNS:

Once upon a time there was a town called Two because it had two people in the town. Now two miles away there was another town, called Too because it too had two people in the town. Now the two judges in the land came to Two and went to Too too because they wanted to judge whether Two or Too should be required to change their name. The judges decided to hold court at two in Too in two days.

So, in two days the two judges with the two of Two travel the two miles to Too. So at two in Too the two judges and the two of Too and the two of Two too held the hearing,

Of course it didn’t take but two minutes to decide that since neither of the two towns had the same name there was nothing that could be done. So at two after two both the two of Too and the two of Two hugged the two judges because the two of Too and the two of Two loved the names of Two and Too too.

The End

So, there is no law against two different things to having the same name. So it’s ok to call Jesus the “Word of God”, and the Scriptures the “Word of God” too, but Jesus is the Word of God that we preach. Remember, they were two different towns!

If you study the Bible you will find that Jesus spoke in Parables to keep some from understanding the truth and getting saved.... He “clothed the Truth” from many....
The “Blood Of Jesus” that you seem to Be unimpressed with is one of the Two things that save us—- Christ’s Blood and Our Faith...
Ever hear the Song, “ NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD?” It’s True.

The Tragedy Of Christianity is that many have turned it “ into” a religion ——Come Judgement Day, people will discover that God won’t have it ... “ I never knew you....” is what they are likely to hear....
