I can't tell you where I've been, but I can tell you that I won't be contributing to someone else's persecution, arrest, and death.

An email from me to them could easily accomplish all three.

If they choose the risk, that's their choice... I will in no way make it for them.

Oh? Then enlighten me- how do you share the gospel in those places? Sharing the gospel or standing up for your faith does at times require taking a calculated risk.

They're still emailing us- so I presume all is well.

Given that I know how fervently scripture verses are read in some quarters, you can imagine my joy when I read the following soon after LeeD took over:

Sharing of information about one's beliefs, for instance by quoting Bible verses or witnessing, is encouraged.

I wonder if it would surprise you to learn that that particular rule was written by Glass*Soul (a semi-non-believer), myself, and three or four other people--around the middle of July....

Yeah, well the only one's doing that are the Christians. Those who claim Christ, but defend doctrines of demons get away with hateful, blasphemic rhetoric, without having any Scripture to back themselves up.

Guess what? The threads close down...Why?

Because the hypocrites have exasperated the sons and daughters of God.

Good luck to CF. They need it, because Jesus Christ is exasperated also.

Sharing of information about one's beliefs, for instance by quoting Bible verses or witnessing, is encouraged. Honest debate and discussion regarding the existence and nature of God is allowed and welcome. Mockery of Christians, Christians beliefs, and the Christian God are not.
Promotion of the religion or rituals of Satanism is strictly prohibited. Promotion is defined as the active attempt to sway others to Satanic beliefs and/or practices.

Though the last one was written in September or October.

I think those who post here should be sure they are of sober mind, and are not tired, or otherwise impaired, before they offer an opinion.

As long as you use it before someone captures your comment in a quote.

But more to the point, how many times have you used the edit button in response to someone who requests you use less controversial language?

Would you consider doing an edit, even if you believe that a comment wasn't offensive but someone else did? Assume that doing the edit doesn't detract from the point you were trying to make.

When a moderator requests it, I will edit, but it takes finesse to edit and say the same thing!

What? I have been asked to edit maybe a half-dozen times. One I forgot to comply and one I refused.

I believe that when the reports were open, moderators had great success in dispatching them. When they were closed, the sense of knowing that something was being done was lost.

I do get reported a fair amount because I debate strongly in the Homosexual Debates threads, so with the open reports I can clarify things that may be ( and are often!) misconstrued. I can also observe that good decisions are being made on posts that I report.

The way it seems to be shaping up is that the report threads are going to be open only to the eyes of the reporter and the reported. That is equally good and it will prevent drive-by posters from continuing the debate in the report threads. It's none of their business, besides.

hmmm... Jesus and I continue to see far, far worse than that here, even with the delightful name change. Have you been hiding in some unknown spiritually beneficent alcove of CF for almost 3 years? God bless you, where might I find such a place?
