  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am wondering if there is a section for UK widows and widowers. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of help and support in the UK for Christian widows and widowers.

I am so isolated. We moved from N. Ireland to USA for 18 months and then back to UK (new to England) and then my husband died - and it is so isolating, no infrastructure of support. And no, don't have family, if I did I wouldn't be complaining of a lack of support. I am ALONE.

Is there a section on the UK section of this forum for UK widows??

Thx

I don't think there is one beyond the general Widows/Widowers forum, which I see you've found already, but that isn't region-specific.

I imagine you may have googled these places already, but have you seen this bunch? They have a message board.

Widow.co.uk Bereavement Support for Men & Women in the United Kingdom

Sorry I can't be more use than that, and that you're going through a tough time. Let us know how you're getting on?

The Church (like the original) is Jesus' answer, something most people think they've been to, but in fact hardly any have!
I'm with an international church that has plenty of activities and get-togethers with groups from other places - why not give it a try!
We have divorcees, unmarrieds etc.
