I was talking to a friend who was discussing the word Christian. In our modern society, it has become a noun. We are Christian. But as Christian, we identify with 77% of Americans. But 40 think satan isn't real, only 55% agreed or strongly agreed that Jesus was sinless, 58% think the Holy Spirit is a symbol of goodness or God.
Disciple on the other hand is a verb. A disciple is one who follows another and tries to emulate them. There was a discipleship movement in the 80s that was wrong, but was the baby thrown out with the bath water?
And if so, what is our roll in it and what is the roll of God?
