Just a little testimony on Christian Radio!
I have been living in a small town for a year far from my home (long story) and haven't had access to any friends or family, it's just me and my DH and our kids. He's at work, so it's really just me and kids. I tuned into the radio one day after listening to talk radio for years, and it was a Christian Radio ministry. Let me tell you I have found so much joy in listening daily to these bible programs and would really suggest it to anyone. I found the bible answer man, Dr. Vernon Mcgee, and many other incredible teachers and have grown so far in my faith as a result of this! It's funny to tell people when they ask me how or why I became a Christian, (especially when I have no CHristian family or friends!) I have to say it started with the radio....the teachers that I have been listening to on various programs through my days have urged me to pick up the bible, have sent me endless resources (free bibles, study guides, reading material..) have urged me to church which I have now found a church and now have a Christian 'family' where I never dreamed possible...from lonliness to a life full of devoted followers of Christ!! All because I 'tuned in'...in more ways than one! If there are any others who have had a unique story about how they came to Christ, I would love to hear it. And if anyone wants to know about the teachers and programs I have found, they are all on the world wide web as well, I can refer and share them with you. Just message me or whatever.
