Christian Punk

[New Creation]

Hey folks, my boyfriend is an ex-hard core punker. He very much identified with his music for a long time in his life but he now feels that he needs more positive influences in his life. He likes the style of punk music but the destructive attitudes in it are no longer conducive to serving Christ.

Anyone out there know of any Christian punk bands out there?
Punkman, we listened to your tunes. We didn't care too much for the first one- stopped listening about halfway through, the second one was pretty good, and the third one, the slow one I liked too. Well done, great effort!

Undercover and The Altar Boys are cool early '80's bands.

The Crucified and Nobody Special were good too.

I think the hardcore philosophy has a lot in common with being a CHristian.
These days...I dont' know what's out there. I know that what they call punk these days is not punk.

They are my personal favorite, and are really fun to listen to; but at the same time keep a consistent focus on God and morals.

I've only heard a couple of their songs but they seem pretty good. You can download some stuff I think unless it was on mp3.com and that shut down, I can't remember. Anyway they're on Tooth and Nail records. Their site is their name .com

P.O.D. is also an awesome band im not so sure that they are punk they are more rock but if he likes punk a lot i think he should like pod pretty well, five iron frenzy is also chirstian but not so much punk they are more ska, ohhhhh RUFIO is punk all the way he will like that

"kids in the way" i think are a punk band, i saw a video of theirs, i forget what song, but it had a punk rock beat that seemed pretty hard core, and their video had a lot of skateboarders.

Hey, thanks a lot everyone. We're starting to surf and find some stuff out there. You've been incredibly helpful. If you know of any more, keep listin' 'em. I found one song in particular I liked by Hangnail, it was called Double Standard. It was really beautiful, it sounded like Spanish classical guitar- nothing at all like what I'd call punk. But then, boyfriend's the fan, not me. Thanks again.
