Thank God..I just want to see the flesh die and Jesus lifted up...I am just so tired of all the immaturity, pettiness, ungodly posts and unkind words being spoken..More people need to know that our words and actions can cause those weaker in the faith to stumble...Plus we will give account one day...May the Lord strengthen, guide and give you wisdom for the days ahead..shalom..Kim

With those simple but meaningful and PLAIN temporary rules, the job of the mods just got easier..

reinstatement of the warning/infraction system lets the rules be truly enforced

If rules will be site wide great, if the wiki's are gone greater than great.

I do think you need to define very clearly what is and isn't defamation. People use the defamation rule to try and silence people's opinion.

What about staff applications that are going on right now and end tomorrow? Will we be ignored? Or will we be given a chance?

As an after-thought,

Lee, could you share with us your vision of the folk who will be advising you? Will they be folk you know in RL / online or folk from this site or a combination of the two? If from this site will you try to balance conservative with liberal?

I like the temporary rules. They appear to be based on the premise that both the members and the mods are capable of acting like rational adults.

How are you planning to handle the transition?
Are all forum-specific rules kaput, or will they be gradually phased out? Or do they stay?

How much autonomy does each team retain, and how much leeway do the admins have with internal protocol and such?

For that matter, do I still have a job?

Current applications are good, but new applications will not be accepted for now. Admin can still recruit folks in the queue.

The will not be RLers, but will be mnphysicist and constance for now with the possibility of adding another in the future. We will try to provide a solid / stable balance in leading this community to see better days!
