* Believing God

* Fearing God
Ecclesiastes 12:13 When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is: fear God and keep His commands, because this [is for] all humanity.;
1 Peter 2:17 Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the Emperor.

* Loving God
Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.;
Matthew 22:37 He said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

* Following God

* LIVING
o To Christ
Romans 14:8If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.;
2 Corinthians 5:15 And He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised.
o To righteousness
Micah 6:8 He has told you men what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: Only to act justly, to love faithfulness,

* Loving one another
John 15:12This is My commandment: that you love one another just as I have loved you.;
Romans 12:10 Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor.;

* Striving for the faith
Philippians 1:27 Just one thing: live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, working side by side for the faith of the gospel,;
Jude 1:3 Dear friends, although I was eager to write you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to contend for the faith that was delivered to the saints once for all.

* Putting away all sin
1 Corinthians 5:7 Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch, since you are unleavened. For Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.;

* Abstaining from all appearance of evil
1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.


* Perfecting holiness
Matthew 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.;
2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore dear friends, since we have such promises, we should wash ourselves clean from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, making our sanctification complete in the fear of God.;
2 Timothy 3:17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

* Hating defilement
Jude 1:23 save others by snatching them from the fire; on others have mercy in fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh

* Following after that which is good
Philippians 4:8 Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable--if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise--dwell on these things.;
1 Thessalonians 5:15 See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all. 16 Rejoice always! 17 Pray constantly. 18 Give thanks in everything, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Don't stifle the Spirit. 20 Don't despise prophecies, 21 but test all things. * Overcoming the world
1 John 5:4,5 5:4because whatever has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith. 5:5And who is the one who conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

* Adorning the gospel
Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.;
Titus 2:10 or stealing, but demonstrating utter faithfulness, so that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in everything.

* Showing a good example
1 Timothy 4:12 No one should despise your youth; instead, you should be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.;
1 Peter 2:12 Conduct yourselves honorably among the Gentiles, so that in a case where they speak against you as those who do evil, they may, by observing your good works, glorify God in a day of visitation.;
Titus 2:7 about everything. Set an example of good works yourself, with integrity and dignity in your teaching

* Abounding in the work of the Lord
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.;
2 Corinthians 8:7 Now as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us--excel also in this grace.;

* Shunning the wicked
Psalms 1:1 How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path of sinners, or join a group of mockers!;
2 Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from every brother who walks irresponsibly and not according to the tradition received from us.

* Controlling the body
1 Corinthians 9:27 Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.;
Colossians 3:5 Therefore, put to death whatever in you is worldly: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.

* Subduing the temper
Ephesians 4:26 Be angry and do not sin. Don't let the sun go down on your anger,;
James 1:19 My dearly loved brothers, understand this: everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger,

* Submitting to injuries
Matthew 5:39-41 5:39But I tell you, don't resist an evildoer. On the contrary, if anyone slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 5:40As for the one who wants to sue you and take away your shirt, let him have your coat as well. 5:41And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two. ;
1 Corinthians 6:7 Therefore, it is already a total defeat for you that you have lawsuits against one another. Why not rather put up with injustice? Why not rather be cheated?

* Forgiving injuries

* Living peaceably with all

* Visiting the afflicted
Matthew 25:36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you took care of Me; I was in prison and you visited Me.';
James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

* Doing as we would be done by
Matthew 7:12 Therefore, whatever you want others to do for you, do also the same for them--this is the Law and the Prophets.;
Luke 6:31 Just as you want others to do for you, do the same for them.

* Sympathising with others
Galatians 6:2 Carry one another's burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.;

* Honouring others
Psalms 15:4 who despises the one rejected by the Lord, but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his word whatever the cost,;

* Fulfilling domestic duties
Ephesians 6:1-8 6:1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, because this is right. 6:2Honor your father and mother --which is the first commandment with a promise-- 6:3that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land. 6:4And fathers, don't stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. 6:5Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ. 6:6Don't work only while being watched, in order to please men, but as slaves of Christ, do God's will from your heart. 6:7Render service with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to men, 6:8knowing that whatever good each one does, slave or free, he will receive this back from the Lord. ;
1 Peter 3:1-7 3:1Wives, in the same way, submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, even if some disobey the Christian message, they may be won over without a message by the way their wives live, 3:2when they observe your pure, reverent lives. 3:3Your beauty should not be the outer beauty of elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold ornaments or of fine clothes; 3:4rather, it should be an inner beauty with the imperishability of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very valuable in God's eyes. 3:5For in the past, the holy women who hoped in God also beautified themselves in this way, submitting to their own husbands, 3:6just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. You have become her children when you do good and aren't frightened by anything alarming. 3:7Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives with understanding of their weaker nature yet showing them honor as co-heirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

* Submitting to Authorities
Romans 13:1-7 13:1Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God. 13:2So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God's command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves. 13:3For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do good and you will have its approval. 13:4For government is God's servant to you for good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, because it does not carry the sword for no reason. For government is God's servant, an avenger that brings wrath on the one who does wrong. 13:5Therefore, you must submit, not only because of wrath, but also because of your conscience. 13:6And for this reason you pay taxes, since the authorities are God's public servants, continually attending to these tasks. 13:7Pay your obligations to everyone: taxes to those you owe taxes, tolls to those you owe tolls, respect to those you owe respect, and honor to those you owe honor.

* Being liberal to others
Acts 20:35 In every way I've shown you that by laboring like this, it is necessary to help the weak and to keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, for He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' ";
Romans 12:13 Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality.

* Being contented
Philippians 4:11 I don't say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am;
Hebrews 13:5 Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you.

* Blessedness of maintaining
Psalms 1:1-3 1:1How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path of sinners, or join a group of mockers! 1:2Instead, his delight is in the Lord's instruction, and he meditates on it day and night. 1:3He is like a tree planted beside streams of water that bears its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.
