My name is Liam, and I'm in the band Kurios (we do aggressive, melodic rock stuff - Foo Fighters, Switchfoot, The Starting Line, etc.)
Our current bassist is planning a move to Nashville to begin his career as an
audio engineer (his real passion has always been in making records), which is
cool for him, but kind of a shame for us. We're actually on the verge of doing
some really cool stuff. We have 20 songs written for our next CD, and some
very cool opportunities in the near future. But we need the players to support a record, and without him, we're up the creek
.
The rest of the band is solid, getting tighter all the time, we've sold almost
4000 records independently, and the new one is going to be our best effort thus far. We have a van, trailer, PA that can handle 1000 people easily, in-ear monitors, blah, blah blah...
Most importantly, we're making an impact in the name of Jesus Christ, and it's
awesome to watch him work.
The gig doesn't pay much, we play 120-130 shows a year, and it's a lot of work. If you happen to be in the area, and it sounds like an interesting opportunity, feel free to contact me through our web page (since they won't let me post an email address on the forum
), or PM me through this site.
Thanks for reading, and God bless...
