Christian alternative for Beach Boys?

Hey i'm trying to find a good christian alternative for beach boys.. i just wanted that kinda music in my collection, but my collection is christian only.... i dont mind listening to non-christian stuff i just choose to own christian only...

I found Children of the Risk...which is interesting and sorta similar... but they still need to do a little bit of improving...

Really? Maybe the early stuff, but definately not all of their music. Check out "It's getting late" on your favorite lyrics site. It's about a guy trying to get a girl to sleep with him, and "it's getting late - I can't wait".

Having said that I do like the style of music. And "it's getting late" was one of my favorites because of the harmony in the beginning, back in the day. However, I gave it up due to the content of the song. I understand that there is much worse out there relative to this, but still for me, this one is out of my collection.

What I thought was funny was how innocent street racing sounded when it was sung by the Beach Boys. What's a little harmless drag down the strip, right?

I wouldn't say that, given that they have songs praising the use of acid, transcendental meditation, etc.

Most of it is pretty innocent, but you need to be careful because after Brian stopped being the main influence, they got pretty out there and the quality of their music started going down.

Personally, I think the backing band Brian has now (The Wondermints) does the Beach Boys far better than the Beach Boys did the Beach Boys.
