  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This is somewhat of a poem I just wrote of my view of Jesus:

Christ is:
Everything
Happiness
Courage
Truth
Peace
Meekness
Joy through Pain
Confidence through Humility
Beauty through Plainness
Freedom through Discipline
Unity through Division
Man and God

Let me know if you agree and feel free to add your own "Christ Is" poem below

Hi Max!

Welcome to CF!

Great poem.

There's 2 lines I don't get, but the rest I do.

God bless you.

This is the introduction forum so we can't really have in depth fellowship or conversations here.

Let's see if we can find the forum where you can start up an ongoing conversation along the lines of your poem.

@David4223 Any ideas where this kind of post Max started would best fit?

WE look forward to more posts from you MAX!

There's pretty much a forum for everyone here.

For sure there's going to be one with people that will fully appreciate your creativity and sensitivity to God and His word!

You are a blessing!

Thanks for joining us!

Let's try the community hangout -- as I think it should fit in there :)
Thanks David.

So now that we can discuss your poem Max, can you explain what you were seeing when you said the 2 lines I underlined?

Christ is:
Everything
Happiness
Courage
Truth
Peace
Meekness
Joy through Pain
Confidence through Humility
Beauty through Plainness
Freedom through Discipline
Unity through Division
Man and God

Everything else I can see and understand. It's just the 2 lines that I don't get.

The first is that his confidence doesn't come from arrogance but from humility and meekness. The second is that the division he creates between Christians and non Christian is a way of creating a stronger unity amongst true Christians.

Christ is confusing
I suppose that might seem true.

Christ is a lot easier to understand than we think.

Religion makes Him hard to understand, but the Bible, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and a personal relationship with Christ makes Him easier to understand.

God loves us so much He sent Jesus to suffer and die to take away all our sins, past, present, future.

Jesus loves us so much He did all this willingly.

We love Jesus and draw close to Him and the Father because they both loved us first.

Nothing we do can separate us from God's love and forgiveness.

Jesus came for the bruised, the sick, the broken hearted, the sinner, the imperfect ones, which is in truth all of us.

We respond, and the 2-way interaction begins and never ends.

IT's always ultimately one on one with God.

Other believers are supposed to help us continue our private one on one with God.

If someone interferes with our one on one with God, we need to replace them with someone who encourages us.

I feel like she might of been saying "Christ in confusing" in response to my poem haha saying that it isn't well written.

Couldn't agree more though with what you said, the relationship we have with Jesus doesn't have to be complicated. God since the beginning has always wanted the best for us
