I am curious pjw. How does the marriage of anyone else devalue your marriage or any one else’s marriage for that matter?
I see marriage as a sacred union that symbolises God's love for His Church and His own willingness to give Himself for Her. The union of a man and a woman symbolises Christ's union with His Church. all of marriage and family life has more significance than just physical fulfillment.

everybody has their own thorn in their side to bear. homosexuality is just such a thorn, and Christian people should be praying for and encouraging homosexual people and helping them to live with this burden. personally i feel we should be encouraging more homosexual people to take up ministry in the church, especially those churches that encourage celibacy among their clergy.

I guess I would ask what you mean by fight?

Is this a fight done by prayer and witnessing?

Is it a fight done by showing people that Jesus said that marriage was honorable, and between a man and a woman?

Is it a fight aganist the powers and principalities spoke of in God's word?

Or are we talking a physical fight?

I know you mentioned prayer, but wanting to be sure of the full meaning you are going for. Thanks!

Actually I think the atheists are far more Christian than the self proclaimed Christians advocating bigotry
Ah well there is a way of testing that. Back to the definition again.
As I have said several times, there are people with same-sex attraction, (homosexuals) who believe the word of God and Jesus Christ (Christians) so this isnt a battle of gays and Christians, its really a battle for Christianity.

I call false dichotomy.
Let me know if you have the right number or get a busy signal once you call.

I think you are stretching a little. This is a scenario in which I clearly define two groups who are fighting for different motives. I could have given either group different attributes than I had. But the point of the pole is to determine who will fight for which principles.

Mainly, who will fight for Christ and who will fight for the lifestyle.

Good observation and question.

The scenario represents the spiritual battle and is based upon the meditation of the Two Standards in which on side of the field is the devils army, and on the other is the Lord's.

Thank You very much for your fast response!

Yes, I will be fighting against the powers and principalities that we are told in His Word we must fight against.

...how about the gay side is made up of chalice_thunder, UberLutheran, TheFathersDaughter and Ohioprof? Who have been known to huddle together and pray also?.( ) So if both sides are Christians who love and serve the Lord, who do you vote for then?

That is not the scenario, stop altering the OP.

If those you mentioned decide to fight for the atheist homosexuals that do not believe in God and scoff the Bible and scorn religion, so be it.

Hmmm so you only want rights to be extended to people you like/agree with?

I see a lot of talk on these boards of tolerance. What exactly does tolerance mean? I see tolerance as recognizing and respecting the beliefs and practices of others. I respect that many here are gay but this does not mean we are to embrace and accept those views as valid. There is a big difference between tolerance and acceptance and Christians are not called to accept sin.

BTW, the second army does NOT fight for equality. Those who spout tolerance are generally the least tolerant people I come across. They are only tolerant fo people who agree with them. They fight to relable things. They fight to label sin as OK when it clearly is not OK in Scripture. They preach preach moral relativism which leads to anarchy and no accountability and this has destoryed great civilizations in the past and it will destory ours as well.

I know, I know!

Let's rally the good gay Christians in spiritual battle against the forces of irreligious, God-mocking, atheistic heterosexuals. I'll bet there's way more of them than there are atheist homosexuals!

Or...another idea might be to drop martial analogies which create and perpetuate enmities, and instead try to meet in civil and diplomatic discussions where we recognize each other's faiths (which have both points of similarity and difference to our own) and each other's essential humanity.

Wow! That was a long sentence I just wrote.
