We are having a nice Saturday so far, I made a hot breakfast...pancakes for me, ham and eggs for hubby...have a mess to clean in the kitchen.
Guess we will diddle around the house doing things with the bathroom.
I bought some books online yesterday: Luther's commentary on Galatians, Ryle's commentary on Luke and John Owen's commentary on Hebrews...I will have plenty of side reading to do for a while. Guess I like these kind of books so much because I have no church or people in my life who want to talk about these things...the books and authors are my "friends". LOL

I understand loneliness. I don't feel it's sting anymore but that's just because I gave up.I've learned to entertain myself with myself... My social status hasn't changed but I have. (about 11-12 years ago I think something drastically changed inside of me and I stopped longing for friends and family)-- Now, social things make me really uncomfortable... I'd rather be alone... I can socialize at work but that has purpose and it's not long term.
Yeah...the devastation and loss is horrific
Lord, have mercy
I find I have adjusted to isolation too...had too. I get enough people "for me"...I just cannot be in a group setting very long...physical needs and problems ore controlling my life. But, I do have a life anyway.
I'm ashamed to say I have been at work and don't know about this... when did it happen??? last night or today.
I got this news yesterday [March 3rd]...
so those photos were fresh out of the camera
details for March 2nd and 3rd 2012

Death toll rises to 19; at least 300 injured in Friday's storm
The number of deaths from a wave of violent weather that struck Kentucky Friday climbed steadily Saturday, totaling 19 fatalities and an estimated 300 injured. The number of deaths changed frequently in some of the hardest hit areas, but the number sat at 19 as of 12:20 a.m., according to reports from state and local officials. Those numbers have been climbing since late Friday, as officials have collected reports from various counties that were hammered with severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail and torrential rains.

Storms, apparent tornadoes doing damage in Kentucky
Yea, I found it last night... awful.. there were charts... 2011 was up in the top five horrific storm years in the us in almost 150 years... however, seems like we had a 60 year reprieve from really severe weather... the late 1800'sup to around 1940 were bad as well. builders have stopped putting basements in homes... I wonder if that has anything to do with the death rate???? just thinking???

Hello All,
I hope that everyone has a great Sunday.
Oh yes! if your house falls onto a concrete basement [while you are in it]
You are not going to be CRUSHED [or, blown away]
I see the 'REASON' behind such 'flimsy homes' being built
as being due to.... LOCATION & COST
iow: 'distance' from building-material suppliers & lowest of outlays ~for initial build
Sadly, this will, without doubt
leave many families 'vulnerable' to known extreme-weather conditions
COMMON SENSE, provides information, regarding
the suitability of, design and construction methods [needs] in such areas
Building Regulations _ in such areas, ought to impose upon builders
the requirement to provide places of safety within or below, EVERY HOME
dave
Thanks Tom ~ you too (and all GE friends)
Praying for the disaster victims....so hard to see the devastation, and comprehend what they are enduring
