Oh dear and this is the worst time of the year to be feeling poorly with so much to do. I hope you feel better soon. I am going to make a start on decorating the Christmas cake this afternoon as we have friends coming to lunch on Saturday.

I'm very sorry to hear about your job situation. I will be praying that God works everything out for your good.

I firmly believe:

Romans 8:24-28 For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth? 25 But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; 27 and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.

We can also all pray for each other with the full knowledge that our Heavenly Father loves to hear our prayers. It's many times a matter of casting our cares at His Feet, trusting Him, and waiting with patience.

I have a praise report. Rob has been discharged from the hospital with regard to his damaged fingers. The consultant was amazed at how well and how quickly he is healing. No need for anymore dressings - just keep the wounds clean and dry and for Rob to be careful. That means no more washing up for a while.

Hello Everyone!

I was just thinking that it's getting close to a special time of the year when we gather with our families, give Thanks, and Praise the Lord. We don't have to be rich in material things to have a beautiful time together. After all, our real riches are in Christ for Eternity. As we gather in His Name, He will be with us. I'm hoping and praying that we all make Him the guest of Honor, Praise, and Worship.

Jesus Christ isn't JUST the Reason for the Season, rather He is the Reason and Core of every day. Jesus Christ owns and makes all Days - they are His.

Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.


I will be praying for the health, safety, and well-being of everyone as we prepare to gather with our families for celebration. I will also pray that God richly blesses your time together with Him.

Thank you! I did post in under the general prayer request thread, but not the one on GE. I am confident that God has something better. I just need to remain so, if the days seem to stretch out long. So, your continued prayers are welcome, and appreciated!

Ley, Good news that Rob is home and I hope you had a good visit with your company.

Hi to everyone else. I was not ready for this Christmas season but I am feeling better about it now. I did not spend much money this year just presents for my DH and DD, others get a card and some quality visit time. I would rather do that then get a gift anyway.
