Let me take this opportunity to ask a "bonehead" question. What is "IMO?" I see it used as "shorthand" all the time, but, i don't know what it means.

Thanks.

Michael

Hello Michael,

It's "in my opinion". This might be a good idea for a thread to share various shorthand forum lingo. "IMHO" is in my humble opinion.

Thanks, gentlemen. I can't believe I've gone this long without knowing that. Perhaps the thread would be a good idea...if there are any others who aren't up on the lingo, that is!

Michael

I think that you can use various forums for years and still have to keep learning new lingo. A recent example for me that I had to figure out was:

MIL and FIL

I figured it out in context: mother-in-law and father-in-law. Here's a couple you'll see pretty frequently:

LOL - Laughing Out Loud
ROFL - Rolling On The Floor Laughing
OP - Original Poster (thread starter)

My memory fails me in coming up with others right now, but I know there's a fairly lengthly list.

Hello everyone

Rob is in bed with a shocking cold. He wasn't well yesterday either. He certainly isn't well enough to go to the surgery to have his dressings changed.

I will keep busy writing out the last of the Christmas cards today. I made Christmas cake and Christmas puddings yesterday I may make some mince pies today.

It is very grey, bleak and wet here. Very much an "at home" day today.

Blessings

Hello Ley,

I'll be praying for Rob. Sadly, there's a lot of illness in the cold and wet weather. Uncle Arthritis also comes visiting with this kind of weather.

That pie, pudding, and cake has given me some ideas. Let's see if my wife cooperates.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Hi 357Magnum

Rob is feeling better. I am making pumpkin soup for dinner tonight and I think I am going to make a very healthy fruit smoothie for dessert

The cakes are looking good and the puddings smell delicious

I'm glad to hear Rob is better. Maybe smelling the wonderful pies, cakes, and pudding cured him.

Glad Rob is better Ley. MY hubby stayed home today and I have been fighting a head cold. I improve as the day goes on though so it is good for me to get up and get to work.
He has started an elimination diet to determine what is causing his extreme digestive problems. He has had them for awhile but is now just pondering what it is all about. The thinking is a food allergy, hopefully not gluten intolerance or lactose intolerance but the best way to figure it out is to go on this diet. My youngest son saw a food allergist doctor years ago and went on it for his hyperactivity. It really calmed him down but he couldn't stay on it. We are on the poultry peas and rice level. LOL>
