I enjoy this thread very much, even though I don't always post here every day.

I want to wish you all a very happy and blessed Christmas! We had a beautiful day today with our adult children and their partners.

I am sure I could manage to crochet 'that' [without a pattern ]

Personally, I like /enjoy COTTON [close, to my skin]

My ongoing crochet 'project' is a stiff shopping bag for Mary
It is being made with strips of used carrier bags and nylon thread [twisted together]
This creates, a much more firmer material [akin-to basketry]

I got the car going @ lunchtime [past 12 am]
and we are 'now' going to drop off some presents that were left behind
when those that could do so, dropped off [and collected] presents
for and from different family members

I benefitted by the receipt of:
Two heavy woolen pullovers [will see me through winter ]
Some 'smellies' [bodycare presentation packs]
An engraving /grinding tool and accessories \o/
A better quality E-Cig and Spare Battery
TurboCAD ... for my 'spare-time' hobbying

Hubby is coughing a lot, but doesn't seem toooo sick...no fever...I make sure he drinks a lot of hot liquids and such...will cook a turkey later.
We had a lovely dinner out last night...the place was packed out with Christmas Eve celebrators.
Jesus is good...Praise His Name...we wait for His second coming.

Oh Gail....I am so grateful for your prayers. Juliette is much better today. I brought her some duck soup and she ate like a bear just out of hybernation. She drank water, she held her head up and lifted her front paws to be picked up. They had to put an Elizabethian collar on her because she was trying to remove the I.V. (which is a good sign). I think that I will be able to take her home tomorrow. I am so grateful to have you in my life. You are a prayer warrior and you know better than I that prayer changes things! AMEN and Praise God! Merry Christmas to my beloved Eagles!

My 'cough' has made 'several reappearances' during December
The cough, is kinda wierd [in it's manner]
Begins with a dry tickle and is, like a 'honk' and remains unproductive
It can happen just, the ONCE
or, three or four times [in a bout] before disappearing again
I don't really understand how the hospital, can link-it to my heart problems
[cannot see a connection] but I defer to their wisdom
I have also, from time to time, experienced a transient 'gripping ' around my heart
and suspect that this is a mild form of angina
These 'symptoms' maybe indicate, that my meds need upitrating [?]

My January 'appointment' with the consultant at the hospital
will doubtless reveal any prognosis being considered by the hospital
following the MRI of my heart, I underwent, a while back

All will be revealed in due-course

Have a calm and peaceful Boxing Day everyone

You sound like you are better than what happened earlier, but still having symptoms...I think we all have some kind of symptoms these days.
Larry sounded better this morning...did not cough all night, but I feel tired, like I might get his wonderful "bug"...it is raining here...

I want to bake a pie, then just rest...the cooking and cleaning yesterday was a lot of work.

~past those dark days of blinding pain and emotional blindness

I am just so-grateful for the days I have had since, that I would not be sad
to see them come to an end 'at any time'
One day at a time, and moment by moment .... I have been blessed

Hi everyone
I sounds like you all had a nice holiday

Things went well, here ~ the weather cleared by mid morning, and left us with a pretty dusting of snow that had to be scraped from the driveway and walks.
It was a busy day, but also a bit more quiet that usual because our grandsons didn't come until 3pm from their other grandparents, and then they were caught up with their electronic gifts LOL
By 7 pm everyone left, and then I collapsed into bed by 10 pm after we cleaned up

Today we just puttered around with odd chores and relaxed.

Tonight we have a big storm moving in....and is expected to dump a foot of snow plus, in our area by tomorrow this time.
Hopefully we can snowshoe this weekend

Have a nice evening ~ be blessed

I am glad you are all ok...the storm in the east is a killer....you seem to in a good place as well, get rested. I baked a pumpkin-pecan pie, my first...it will turn out better next time...but looks yummy for a first try. Pumpkin layer on the bottom, pecan-sugar filling on top. O my, I am going to have some...

Must take a nap now tho. LOL

We won't have it as bad at the folks in the mid west for sure!
This weather is old hat for us and we are prepared; we stay home and hunker down anyway
Our weekely errands can wait until Friday; we have plenty of turkey to eat lol.

We have snow, but not as much as it could have been. Not too far north from us got hit harder. It's a very lazy day here.

We need more prayers guys....her sugar is high off the charts, she is lethargic, thirsty as hell and not eating. She came home with 4 different meds and 2 of them (antibiotics) require that she eat something. They authorized me to give her another 2 units of insulin and 2 more in the morning. I am to do a blood test every 2 hours throughout the night to insure that it doesn't drop below normal, in which case I am to put some corn syrup on her gums. She is peeing and diarehhing on a mat that we have placed on the couch beneath her. Although very very sick, she is showing signs of recognition, rolling her eyes to follow me around the room and lifting her head enough to drink water but not much else for now. We will do what we can for the next couple of days but I would rathar not have her with me than have her with no quality of life
