Alot to tell, let me summarize it. Getting divorce because of UY marriage and my wife had her second affair(that I know of). Offered her more than her share of the assets but today she says she wants alimony and more child support! Have a 16 year old son and an 11 year old daughter.
Now this is where I'm wandering what grounds I have here against her.
She has a prior DUI conviction(dismissed because she knew somebody), currently has a suspended drivers license because of it, and I found out today she picked up my kids from school intoxicated. Already had to have a family intervention for her drinking about 5 months ago. Plus since we've been separated she goes to the bar at least three days a week with her friends while the kids are at home by themselves(school nights too). She also drinks pretty much every night(they witness. it).and she does drink and drive at least three or more days a week.
Another thing I wander about is how she wants alimony from me when I'm giving her at least 65% of our assets including our house and everything in it and she is an RN nurse making over 70,000.00 a year. We've been separated for a couple months and out of good faith I've given her 1,500.00 each month to help with expenses and children- and today she confided in me that she has more than enough to pay her bills-yet her advice from an attorney, of course, says she's entittled to a whole lot more!
So, knowing that she is a dangerous parent, wants custody, and has a reckless lifestyle-what can I do? I live in Texas.
One more thing:she assaulted me a couple years back when intoxicated and gave me a black eye which my son did witness and will testify too. What grounds do I have in my favor thru this divorce process? Legal advice?
