Mayor Brandon Johnson announced that Chicago would be merging the shelter system for illegal immigrants with the city’s homeless shelter system. As a result, only illegal immigrants who have been in the country for less than a month will be eligible to be placed in the “new arrivals” shelters in Chicago. Among them, only those who are sick, pregnant, or disabled will be eligible for extensions until the new year begins.

This is a tragic situation. There is such a disconnect between blue ideas and he consequences of their actions.

This is exactly what bothers me about this from your article:

"Still, illegal immigrants are only being told that Chicago is a sanctuary and “welcoming,” and not how Johnson undermines those principles to try and salvage some approval points. In other words, Johnson is using those illegal immigrants as political pawns, exploiting them to pander to both left-wing sanctuary activists and people who are upset that they are afterthoughts to people who entered the country illegally."

It's this. Not just Johnson but the Democratic party as a whole are just using people for whatever sick ends they have. That is what sickens me.

I don't think they even see us as human beings, people to them appear as commodities to be exploited and not human.

There is another massive caravan coming right now. It's almost winter and none of these people I don't think are used to extremes of cold, especially when they find themselves sleeping out in it.

Apparently Mexico is going to keep thousands upon thousands of migrants in Mexico until after the election... And then I suppose they are all going to come in after.. ridiculous.

We don't have the money, we don't have the housing, and we don't have the infrastructure for this, our people are ignored while these people are exploited and they don't have a clue what they are walking into, some of them anyway.

It's not right on any level or from any perspective that sees people as more than commodities.

FACT CHECK: Chicago is not throwing anyone out into the cold. They are accelerating permanent housing! I just pray that truth prevails when these types of articles sew anger and fear in our community.

Anger should be directed at U.S. leaders who decided to break the laws of our country and bring so many in, creating a massive number of victims of human trafficking and other crimes against humanity.

I so agree. Control and power drives the leaders, but so many of their followers seem blind to the results. It is hard to understand.
