• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi All!

I haven't posted here for so long. I just stopped by to say hello and to check in.

I'm doing well. I'm on Paxil 20 mgs once a day for the last 5 or 6 mths. It's been excellent so far. I'm a tad worried about when my doc decides to stop them since if i miss a few doses, as I have before, I get terrible withdrawal; dizziness, nausea, hearing sounds that aren't there, amplified sounds, ringing ears, tremors, headaches...I hate that.


I also ended the relationship I was in for the last 4 years. I really wasn't healthy and I wasn't allowing myself to see that. I took a month or so or crying and being really down and one day it seemed like I saw thinks clearer, I understood why this was best. And I felt an enormous weight come off my shoulders. I have never felt this liberated and true. As if I am finally me.

I also met a wonderful person who is supportive, funny, discplined and so easy to communicate with. I feel so good being in an un pressured relationship where it's open. I'm taking that slowly. very slowly!

Glad to hear you are doing well And glad things are working out for you relationship wise. Breakups can be very difficult for us with BP.

I am doing well and still maintaining. Been on the same meds for 3 years now. This time of year is difficult for me though, just because I am an outdoor person. Gets dark too early this time of year...lol. But other than that me and the wife are doing great!!

So very glad to hear from you and know you are well!!!

Sounds as if you made a very wise choice, even though it was a hard one.

I am here and busy. Been a rough fall for a lot of reasons, two dear friends have died one to heaven the other ???? and in the busyness of helping them I overlooked the lesson I learned last fall. I must adapt my meds to the season! So have been very depressed, but coming out of it now. I hope to be interviewing for a return to work here soon . . .Lord willing.

Hi,

It was tough but I am so happy now that it was made and that God has helped me through it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friends' deaths. And it's never a nice feeling to wonder where our loved ones have gone to after they have passed so I am praying for you, that God grants your peace at this time and that He comforts you and the families of those who died.

Father, I thank you for Aliveagain, for Your grace flowing through her. I ask Lord that You intervene in any situation which may be concerning her right now. Father comfort and bless her Lord, grant her peace and strength in each trial. Where her job interview is concerned, please make a way for her. In Yeshua's name, Amen.

though this point is tough, it's good that God is drawing you closer to Him.
