I don't know if any of you guys heard of the creation museum but I thought it would be a good idea to check it out just go to www.creationmuseum.org ! And check out the about us section on the page. it discusses the overall goal of the museum and also check out the 7 c's of history just click on it and read what it means!

My question is: HOW does an organisation like Answers in Genesis, which is concerned solely with distributing lies, misinformation and religious propaganda to impressionable lay people, get hold of $27 million to spend on a museum? Who in their right mind would donate to such an organisation?

Probably the same sort people that sent money in to Peter Popoff, Jimmy Swaggart or Benny Hinn.

I suppose if you can talk fast enough and get in front of enough people you can convince a good portion to do just about anything like send you money for no reason or even vote for you.

I just thought it would be an interesting read I live by my faith as do you but I dont ridicule anyones belief. I thought it would be an interesting topic because I never heard of a christian museum afterall scientist state their so called facts in museums a lot I feel if you are going to have a forum everybody opinion should be respected and heard I stand by my beliefs.

Make no mistake, it is certainly eye-opening. I, for one, still can't fathom how they thought it'd be useful to spend so much money on a rather petty topic.

And this is what we have. I think you feel we are laughing at you, but I assure you we are not. It is merely the notion of a Creationist Museum that makes us laugh in disbelief; Creationism is not science by any stretch of the imagination or any flex of the linguistic brain cells. It is a poorly veiled attempt by the Religious Right to inject their Christian propaganda where it doesn't belong.

I stand by my beliefs.

It's certainly unlike any other multimillion dollar museum I've heard of. Museums, particularly in the categories of science or natural history, generally have research facilities and extensive stored collections and libraries - this one seems mainly a facade of expensive (and inaccurate) dioramas and signage.

We have a couple creation museums in Canada, but they generally don't occupy anything larger than a double wide.
